The stage
Years of chords here. Musical acrobats. Performance art when peformance art
started. Philosophers with picks. San Francisco history. Generosity to spare.
The balcony is like the tiny deck of a ship. Hang over the rail. Listen. Go
up there not knowing anyone. Come back down with some new friends.

The Brokedown Opry is an Americana music showcase hosted by musicians and members of the Americana Music Association at The Hotel Utah Saloon in San Francisco.
Since California has a rich history in Americana music from Gram Parsons writing songs in the Joshua Tree desert to Merle Haggard and Buck Owens in good old Bakersfield, CA (not to mention The Grateful Dead here in our own home town) we felt it imperative to do our part to support the growing alternative country/Americana music scene growing here.
We were frustrated with the lack of venues and publicity there was here for this type of music so The Brokedown Opry was born!
Shows start at 8:00 pm every Tuesday night at the Hotel Utah Saloon. If you're hungry, come early for dinner.
